Random stuff
I just have random stuff to talk about today.
Elizabeth Temus just went into the MTC on Wednesday. I already miss her so much. Then I started thinking about Rachel Dornbush. I'm listening to her songs right now. It's making me cry, I miss them so bad. We all should write them letters this week.
School is starting to get a little more intense, but I'm still really enjoying it. One of the guys in my research group told me he thought I was the smartest person in our group. Ha! If he only knew, but he doesn't, so I'm not going to tell him. That made me feel so much better.
I bought this rugby ball yesterday!!!! I think I'm the happiest woman alive. I threw it around for a while with my friend Julie, and it made me smile all day. I bought it from a little old Indian woman in a small shop on State in Orem.
My sister Kathryn will be here with her fiance Chris this weekend. I've only talked to him on the phone, but he seems like a nice guy. Everyone else has met him and they really like him. She and I are going to go wedding dress shopping. Fun!
I bought the sweetest suit coat ever a couple of weeks ago, and wore it last week to a seminar class that I have with the MAcc and MBA students (we are required to wear suits). I turned some heads, which hasn't happended to me in YEARS! It was so fun. It's one of those cool ones that goes down to mid-thigh. Someone told me I looked like a CIA agent, and that all I needed were some dark sunglasses and an earpiece to complete the outfit. Sweet!

A bicycle built for two
My brother Joseph and I rented a tandem bike and took a two hour ride today. It was one of the funnest things I've ever done.
At first we had a little trouble because it's hard to coordinate the leaning, and if the person in the back tries to steer, it moves the seat of the person in the front--the handlebars are attached to the seat.
After a while, we got pretty good at it. We were speeding around campus, waving and everyone. So many people did a half smile as we rode by, trying not to let us see that they were smiling from amusement. We would wave, and they couldn't hold it back. It was great. Tandem bikes are just funny. Who can help but smile when you see one?
Our greatest feat was to ride up the ramp that goes from behind the Smith Fieldhouse up to campus. You know, the one that we used to walk up coming from the Villa. We were so proud of ourselves.
It only costs $6.50 an hour to rent one, and only $20 for the day from Outdoors Unlimited. I highly recommend it.

La vita è bella
My sister and her boyfriend are in Oregon so he can meet my family, and things are going great! I am happy for her, and happy that he fits in so well with our family. Everyone likes him and he likes them! Yay!
