After taking my 2nd test, my dad and brother came to visit and we went cross country skiing and snow camping. Here is the beginnings of our snow cave.

This is Joseph as he worked on the cave. He did most of the digging on the inside, and Dad & I were in charge of shoveling the snow away from the entrance. We of course had to tease him about laying down on the job so much. He had to do a large part of the digging like that.

Here's me in the cave in my new sweet sleeping bag. It's made for 0 degrees.

The snow conditions were a bit too powdery for a good snow cave so by the morning we had a 1ft dip in the top of the cave, right over Dad. You can see it pretty well in this photo. Needless to say, we decided it would be wisest to get up and get all our stuff out of the cave first thing in the morning before the sun got to us. We just weren't willing to wait for the cave to fall on top of us.
