I just finished the first of the 4 CPA exams on Feb 1. If I pass all the exams as well as the ethics exam, I will be a Certified Nerd by the end of the summer. I am planning to have a nerd party after I get my license. This license will give me the following privileges:
1. I can sign and be responsible for reports we send to our clients.
2. I can get paid more.
3. I can be sued.
4. I can give said extra pay to my lawyer if I get sued. Hm, maybe I should find a lawyer...
5. I will start getting calls from headhunters. In fact, I just got a call at the end of December.
6. I can put letters after my name.
7. I will get a bonus for passing the exams. Whoohoo!
8. Um, I think that's it.
I have my next exam on Feb. 29, another one April 18, and the last one May 16. Whoohoo! I am taking a review class every Tuesday & Thursday from 6-10pm in preparation for the exams, and have been studying my brains out. I hope I pass the first time around so I don't have to pay the crazy fees to take any of them again. Can you believe it costs $900 to take all 4 exams?!
Well, I hope everyone is doing well. Sorry for the delay in posting--I wrote this post several weeks ago, but the internet did something crazy and I lost the whole thing. Happy Groundhog Day yesterday!
